Who Are We?

      The Carpenters Union is a democratic association of workers, recognized under United States law, for the purpose of collective bargaining. We join together in combination to leverage our power collectively so that we might realize the best possible wages, benefits and working conditions that the market within which we work can support.
      Through our union we negotiate contracts with our employers that contain: portable Health and pension benefits; funding for training programs for apprenticeship and skill advancement; working conditions like paid overtime, etc.
      We believe that carpenters need a collective voice in order to be able to set meaningful standards for wages and benefits within our industry! We support legislation to improve the safety and health standards that effect our working lives.
